About Jessica

I am a dedicated literacy expert with 8 years of professional classroom experience. I spent 5 years as an elementary school teacher before transitioning into my current role as a Reading Specialist, where I have spent the last 3 years successfully pinpointing and correcting reading gaps.
My educational background deeply informs my evidence-based approach to teaching:
B.S. in Special Education / Early Childhood Education – Bloomsburg University
M.Ed. as a Reading Specialist – Penn Western University
Post-Graduate ELD (English Language Development) Certification – Currently pursuing at Penn State Harrisburg

Because of my extensive training, I understand how the brain learns to read. I don't just tutor—I utilize advanced, science-of-reading frameworks to tailor instruction for neurodivergent learners, early readers, and students learning English as a second language. About the lesson

My sessions are interactive, fast-paced, and built around your child’s unique interests to keep them completely engaged.
