About Rand
I hold a BBA in Finance and Accounting and I earned my CFA designation while working in the investment industry in sell-side and buy-side equity research.
Not only can I personally attest to the effectiveness of my study methodology as I graduated from college with distinction and passed the CFA exams from the first attempt, I have also successfully navigated the rigours of studying while working a demanding, full-time job.
Credentials aside, I have a genuine passion for teaching and love seeing my students experience 'Aha!' moments as they figure things out.

My goal when teaching is to ingrain in you a deep understanding of Finance concepts so that:
1) you become empowered to tackle and answer any question on the topic that comes your way on exam day,
2) you are able to recall and apply these concepts way beyond exam day during your professional career.
To do so, I use a tried-and tested study methodology backed by research on long-term retention and recall.
Typically, you can expect a 30-minute introductory session where we run through the study methodology I will utilize, your study goals and challenges, and the timeline and frequency of lessons over the course our tutoring engagement.
