Having worked in different spheres of accounting and finance (general ledger accounting, management accounting, financial planning and analysis, Budgeting and forecasting, private equity fund accounting), I believe that if you really understand the concepts and the underlying principles, with the right guidance and support, you will be able to recollect them easily and apply it to solve problems.
Hence, my approach is to introduce a topic by giving a brief background about it and than proceeding on to covering the theoretical and the practical application of the topic.
