About Ed
I’m currently studying Chemistry at university level and have a strong understanding of the subject, particularly in relation to GCSE and A Level content and exam expectations. I also have two years of experience as a tutor, which has helped me get better at explaining difficult ideas in a clear way and adapting to different students. I take tutoring seriously and make sure I’m prepared for each lesson, keeping things structured and focused so students feel like their time is being used well. My aim is to help students improve while also feeling more confident in what they’re doing.

My approach to tutoring is to keep things clear, practical, and engaging. I don’t just explain a topic once and move on, I make sure students actually use it through lots of targeted practice questions so they can see how it works in different situations and build real confidence. I also keep sessions interactive and enjoyable where possible, as that usually helps things stick much better. Lessons would typically be around 1 to 1.5 hours, which gives enough time to properly understand a topic without losing focus. I’ve spent two years working as a music tutor, so I’m used to adapting to different learning styles, keeping students motivated, and creating a relaxed but productive environment. I mainly aim my lessons at GCSE students, but I’m happy to support A Level students as well where needed.
