About Thalia
My interest in Chemistry started with curiosity about how substances react and change in the world around us. This passion encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Sciences followed by a Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry. During the past 5 years, I have guided students through different areas of Chemistry while helping them build stronger scientific understanding and confidence in learning.
I believe teaching should feel supportive, interactive, and adaptable to every learner’s pace. My teaching style focuses on clear explanation, practical examples, and structured problem-solving methods that make difficult topics easier to understand. I encourage students to participate actively during lessons because confidence grows naturally when learners feel involved and supported. Creating a calm learning environment is an important part of my teaching philosophy.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring developments in pharmaceutical chemistry, environmental science, and laboratory research. Staying connected to scientific advancements helps me keep lessons interesting and relevant for students. Teaching Chemistry is deeply rewarding because I enjoy helping learners overcome confusion and become more confident academically. My goal is always to support students in developing both scientific curiosity and long-term confidence in their abilities.

My Chemistry lessons focus on making scientific concepts easier to understand through simple explanation, structured learning, and practical examples. I teach topics such as chemical bonding, reactions, acids, equilibrium, and organic chemistry in a calm and supportive environment. Students learn how concepts connect logically instead of relying only on memorisation. I encourage active participation so learners feel comfortable asking questions and exploring difficult topics step by step.
Lessons are adjusted carefully according to the student’s learning level and academic goals. Beginners work on understanding formulae, equations, and periodic trends, while advanced students focus on calculations, mechanisms, analytical reasoning, and exam preparation. I use diagrams, practice questions, and relatable examples to improve understanding and confidence. Regular revision and guided exercises help students strengthen retention and problem-solving ability steadily over time.
I aim to create a positive atmosphere where students feel encouraged rather than pressured while learning Chemistry. Many learners become more confident once they understand the logic behind reactions and scientific processes clearly. My teaching approach helps students improve analytical thinking, organisation, and academic discipline. Chemistry becomes much more enjoyable when learners realise they can understand complex ideas through patience, practice, and supportive guidance.
