About Kate
Chemistry tutor with 7 years of experience teaching students of all levels, from high school to college. Have successfully taught around 300 students, helping many prepare for board exams, college entrance tests, and lab practicals. My teaching philosophy is simple: chemistry is logical, not memorizable. My job is to show you the logic behind every equation and reaction through patience, honest feedback, and practical exercises. I focus on building problem-solving skills along with conceptual understanding, so students enjoy chemistry rather than fear it. Notable achievement includes helping over 50 students score above 90 percent in final exams and guiding several to win science olympiad medals. I keep lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's goals.

My teaching approach for Chemistry and related subjects is built on real-life examples, problem-solving, and concept clarity. I connect every chemical principle to everyday applications, so you see why reactions happen and how they matter. We break down complex topics like stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and equilibrium into simple, step-by-step logic. I encourage creative thinking by asking you to predict outcomes and design your own experiments on paper. Motivation comes from setting weekly goals, solving past exam papers, and celebrating each topic mastered. Integrity means I give honest feedback, never pretend you understand when you don't, and always respect your learning pace. For Chemistry, we cover atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, mole concept, acids and bases, redox reactions, electrochemistry, kinetics, organic nomenclature, isomerism, reaction mechanisms, and spectroscopy basics. We also work on lab safety, titration techniques, data analysis, and error calculation. I also teach related subjects that support your chemistry understanding: Mathematics for Chemistry – logarithms, unit conversions, graph plotting, and rate equations. Physics for Chemistry – thermodynamics, gas laws, and quantum basics. Biology for Chemistry – biochemistry, enzyme function, and metabolic pathways. In every lesson, I use case studies from real research and my own students. For example, I show how one student mastered mole concept by using a simple table method, then we apply that to your current problems. I share stories of students who overcame fear of organic chemistry by breaking each reaction into three steps: reactants, reagents, products. My sessions are interactive, not lectures. We solve problems together, draw mechanisms, use molecular models, and run virtual labs. I assign practical homework like balancing 10 equations, drawing five isomers, or watching a video on a specific reaction and summarising it. I adapt my pace to you, slower if needed, faster if you are ready. Most importantly, I create a safe space where wrong answers are learning tools. I never compare you to others, only to your previous self. I keep detailed notes of each lesson so we always build on what we did before. My goal is not just to make you pass exams, but to make you a confident, analytical, and curious scientist.
