About Ashley
I am a children's librarian with over 4 years experience as a reading tutor for third graders. All of my students have been able to pass the iRead (Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination) assessment in order to move on to the next grade.

I base my teaching method on a one-to-one basis. During the first couple of sessions, I evaluate students on their reading level and what they're comfortable with. Then they are reevaluated each month to move onto the next level. I use flashcards, easy/leveled readers, comprehension questions, etc. to engage students in active reading.
