About Joseph
I have been playing the violin for 20+ years. I started when I was very young, and have taken lessons ever since. I have participated in all-state and extracurricular orchestras, and received awards for my playing. I was introduced to this more creative approach to playing the violin in the third-grade and fell in love with it. I have since participated in improvisational fiddle groups, recorded for pop and folk artists in music studios, and continue to learn from the some of the best teachers around.

I have a passion for musical creativity, and I believe music-making is more fulfilling when you’re in control of what you play next. I was taught in a unique way, focused on improvisation through folk, Celtic, fiddle, jazz, and pop music. I will teach you the classical basics paired with creative techniques that will increase your mastery of the violin, while having tons of fun along the way!
