About Sophia
Hi! I’m Sophia, and I love making the world of technology accessible to the next generation. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and have been tutoring programming for over 6 years. I specialize in working with K-12 students, high schoolers taking AP Computer Science, and college freshmen who are just starting their bachelor's in IT or CS.
I don’t believe in "boring" coding. My approach involves showing you the "why" behind every line of code. I’ve been honored with a "STEM Excellence Mentor" award for my work in helping high school students build and launch their own mobile apps. My experience as a developer allows me to bring real-world industry standards into our one-to-one live lessons. Whether we are debugging a Java project, building a responsive website with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, or querying a PostgreSQL database with SQL, I ensure that you understand the logic deeply. My goal is to help you achieve your academic goals efficiently while building a portfolio of projects that you can be proud of!
