About Iqra
I am an MPhil-qualified Botany lecturer with a strong academic background and experience teaching Biology and Botany at both school and college levels. I currently teach undergraduate students and have experience teaching subjects including Plant Physiology, Ecology, Plant Biochemistry, Climate Change, and Edaphology.
I completed my MPhil in Botany from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, with a CGPA of 3.95/4.00. My research focused on plant growth and development under water stress and the role of salicylic acid in improving plant responses to environmental stress.
Alongside teaching, I have experience in scientific writing, experimental design, research documentation, statistical data analysis, and guiding students in research projects and scientific report writing.
I believe effective Biology teaching should go beyond memorizing facts. My goal is to help students develop a clear understanding of biological concepts, think scientifically, and confidently apply what they learn to questions, experiments, graphs, and real-world biological problems.

My teaching approach focuses on making complex biological concepts simple, visual, and logically connected. I first assess the student's current level and learning goals, then adapt the lesson according to their needs.
I use a combination of:
1. Concept-based teaching rather than rote memorization
2. Step-by-step explanations of complex biological processes
Diagrams, illustrations, and visual learning tools
3. Real-world examples to connect theory with biological applications
4. Frequent questioning to encourage students to think through concepts rather than simply memorise answers
5. Active recall and targeted questioning to strengthen retention
6. Practice questions and exam-style problems to assess understanding
7. Immediate feedback and correction of misconceptions
Spaced revision of important concepts
8. Research-based examples, particularly in biology, plant physiology, ecology, environmental biology, and plant stress biology
For undergraduate students, I also emphasise scientific reasoning and the ability to interpret experimental results, graphs, tables, and biological data rather than simply recalling facts
