My name is Arian Hamidi, and Professor Galli taught me at the University of Toronto for the ITA350Y1 (Italian Language Practice) course during the second semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.

She is simply outstanding! She is an excellent teacher and is incredibly kind and personable. Anytime anyone in the class required aid or clarification for any concepts, she would deliver it swiftly and accurately. Her teaching approach is immaculate and is conducive to student learning. Additionally, she consistently made everyone feel comfortable, and her genuine care for her students reflects the kind of person and professor she is.

From my own experience, her teaching played a major role in my success in the course, which I completed with an A grade. I cannot emphasize her kindness enough as well. When I later needed reference letters for my Master’s applications, she generously offered her help without hesitation. She is an incredible professor and an incredible person.

I met Professor Galli at the University of Toronto. She's the perfect example of an instructor who is dedicated, passionate, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, enthusiastic about her teaching. Thanks to her, I've been able to fine-tune my Italian, learn idiomatic expressions and words that help me speak the language more naturally (rather than like a textbook), master the many, many grammar exceptions, and immerse myself in the country's contemporary culture. She's also been kind enough to teach me about the Genoese dialect. With Professor Galli, you'll have a teacher who knows pedagogy in application, a quality not all instructors have.
