My strategy when it comes to teaching a language is to not go too deep into the granular and technical details that do no matter in a real conversation or comprehension; but rather more on how you can make your brain 'think in English' rather than you having to translate it from your mother tongue to English. It is a difficult habit to break when you try to learn a new language but it goes a long way in making you sound clean and immaculate.
