About Zoehriya
I am currently an undergraduate sophomore studying Community Heath on the pre-law track with intentions of becoming either an immigration lawyer or a healthcare lawyer. This is my first time as a writing tutor, but I have been assisting my friends and family members with their college essays and argumentative writing assignments for classes. I also have been recognized on TeenInk for my opinionated essays and realistic fiction short stories.

I plan to assess the student's needs by assessing their weaknesses in writing. I then assign writing exercises to the student so that he or she can improve onto those weaknesses. If there is an assignment coming up, I will then collaborate with the student and brainstorm some topics which I ask questions reflecting on the student's life. For each introduction, body, and conclusion, the student will then be expected to email me, so it would be like a checkpoint in the creation of the draft. I then take a holistic approach to the draft to see any overall revisions. For corrections, I put suggestions and open-ended questions which come to the student attached as comments. The student may use my assistance, but I foster self-learning as a desire of the student applying these techniques in his or her future.

Details
If you need to cancel a lesson, you must do so NO LATER THAN half an hour before the time of the lesson with an explanation of the absence. The cancellation notice must take place either via email or text. If it has been less than 30 minutes before the lesson and you are not in attendance, I will count it as a no-show. A total of three no-shows will result in termination of future sessions with the student. This termination can be lifted, however, with a $25 penalty fee.
