I have been tutoring for four years, have privately taught 6 students, and worked one on one with far more. My students have progressed from vocabulary acquisition to reading comprehension, and geometry to algebra with high scoring performance on assessments.

I am a Columbia Engineering student tutoring students of elementary to high school age. I help them build off of existing knowledge by asking progressing questions that demonstrate their ability to work through and master concepts through their own power of learning. I strongly believe in practice and review, and seek to engage and connect with students to form bonds that further their learning both while I am tutoring them and in the future. I work to impart to them good study habits and time management, and a passion for learning. Perhaps more importantly than helping them with the particular concept that they struggle with at the moment, I hope to increase their confidence in school, and in themselves.
