About Silvana
Hi, I'm Silvana Sousa. I was born and raised in Goiânia, Brazil, and I have lived in the United States for the past 37 years. For the last 25 years, I have been teaching Samba Aerobics throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, sharing my passion for Brazilian culture, dance, and movement.
Over the years, I have trained and graduated many samba dancers who now perform at various levels in samba shows and entertainment events across the Bay Area. Watching my students grow into confident performers has been one of the greatest joys of my journey.
In my classes, you will learn much more than steps and choreography. You will discover rhythm, movement, self-expression, and the joy of connecting with your body through samba. This vibrant Brazilian dance not only teaches musicality and coordination, but also invites you to connect with your ancestry, culture, and inner spirit.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, I invite you to join me and experience the energy, passion, and beauty of samba. I am confident that you will fall in love with this incredible dance and the sense of community it creates.
