About Wendy
My passion for programming started with curiosity about creating functional solutions through logical instructions. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Software Engineering, where I gained foundational expertise in programming, system design, and algorithmic reasoning. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided learners from beginner to confident coders, helping them understand not only how to code but why each solution works, fostering independence and problem-solving confidence. I believe effective teaching requires patience, clarity, and adaptability. Many students struggle when lessons move too quickly or lack context. I focus on breaking problems into understandable steps, providing examples, and encouraging questions. I emphasize experiential learning so that mistakes are seen as opportunities rather than setbacks, promoting a positive and resilient mindset. Outside of teaching, I remain actively engaged with programming through personal projects, study of emerging technologies, and practical problem solving. These experiences enrich my teaching, allowing me to bring real-world examples and relevance into lessons. Teaching programming is deeply fulfilling because I witness students transform from uncertainty to competence, gaining confidence in their ability to reason logically, solve problems, and create solutions independently.

Computer programming becomes intuitive when learners understand that code is a structured expression of logical thinking rather than abstract commands. My lessons focus on developing problem-solving skills through Python, Java, algorithms, functions, loops, and object-oriented concepts. I emphasize hands-on exercises and real-world examples so students can apply knowledge practically, reinforcing both understanding and confidence.

Intermediate learners strengthen debugging strategies, modular programming, data handling, and algorithmic thinking.
