About Ratna Koushik

Hi, I’m Ratna Koushik! I’m an international student from India, currently studying Computer Science at Trinity Western University. I came to Canada two years ago and have maintained a strong CGPA since then. Before moving here, I completed a diploma in Automation and Robotics and spent time teaching high school students back home. That’s where I discovered how much I enjoy helping students learn in a way that actually makes sense to them. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and always make sure students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

About the lesson

I teach math and logic to middle and high school students in a way that makes learning simple, clear, and enjoyable. My lessons focus on building a strong foundation and helping students truly understand why each concept works instead of just memorizing formulas. A typical lesson starts with a quick review, followed by clear explanations, guided examples, and hands-on problem-solving practice. I adjust my pace to match each student’s comfort level, making sure they feel confident before moving on.

What sets me apart is my patience and focus on real-world connections — I often relate math to everyday situations so students can see its practical use. I also provide structured notes, small challenges, and progress updates to keep learning consistent and rewarding. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students develop confidence and problem-solving skills that last beyond the classroom.
