About Manu
I am a computer science student at UMass Amherst who has been programming for the past 6 years. I had my first internship in freshmen year of high school and have been doing more internships, research opportunities, and hackathons since. I've interned at a variety of companies, conducted research in machine learning and natural language processing, and won several awards of hackathons through my work. In my free time I love to read and play jazz as an alto saxophonist

I'll take a project-oriented focus when teaching programming, as I believe this is the most effective way to be able to gain confidence and understanding with your code. Through examples, exercises, practice sessions, etc., we can build a repertoire of projects that can put on your resume for employers to see! This will allow you to have the skills to continue learning and growing as a programmer after you're done with our tutoring sessions
