About Mark
Although originally intending to pursue a life in education, after leaving university I enjoyed a career in music which gave me the opportunity to travel to many different parts of the world. I believe that these experiences gave me a good understanding of people from different backgrounds and experiences, and invested me with skills that I might not have otherwise developed. I moved back into tutoring around 6 or 7 years ago and it is something that I truly enjoy and seeing children reach their potential is immensely satisfying.

I teach all aspects of English, Literacy and maths at KS2 and lower KS3. I have successfully helped guide children through SATS and 11+ exams, many of whom were previously working below expected levels. I always aim to make lessons as enjoyable as possible whilst building key skills in the more technical aspects of each subject. Whilst I do online tutoring, I prefer 'in person' lessons as I feel these are more productive and engaging for the student. I live in Hassocks and the majority of my students are from this area but I do also tutor in Preston Park and other surrounding districts.
