About Katie
I am an experienced creative and innovative music tutor and a graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire of Music.
I have extensive experience tutoring music up to degree, singing of all levels and abilities and music technology. I have a degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire of music and have been actively working in the music industry since 2012 as a session musician and sound engineer. I can also offer music technology tutoring.
I have experience of tutoring primary and secondary students, and have worked for a company which offer immersive outdoor curriculum days, so am aware and can teach primary and secondary curriculum in a fun and innovative way.
I have lots of experience working with children and adults with additional need or for whom English may not be their first language.
In my free time I volunteer at a youth group so am very capable of delivering education in ways some student may find more accessible than formal education.

I adopt different methodologies for different students, as not one student is the same and everyone learns in different ways. My methods are always creative and engaging, whilst alternative methods may be used to mainstream music education, I have taught curriculum days and ran sessions that follow the national curriculum. But these lessons are always creative and immersive.
