About Alina
Hi, I’m Alina, a second-year PhD student in Psychology at ARU Cambridge. I hold an MSc with distinction from Anglia Ruskin University and a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham. My background combines academic research with creative writing, giving me a strong understanding of both analytical and creative approaches to language.
During my studies, I developed experience in writing across different forms, including fiction, essays, and academic work. I enjoy helping students explore their creativity while learning practical writing techniques that strengthen their storytelling and expression.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with ideas and developing their own unique writing voice.

My lessons are designed to help students develop their creative voice while strengthening the technical aspects of their writing. I work with students on areas such as storytelling, character development, dialogue, descriptive writing, and narrative structure. Sessions are interactive and focused on helping students generate ideas, develop their writing style, and improve their confidence.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and can include writing exercises, feedback on drafts, and guidance on developing short stories or longer pieces. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, whether they want to improve their creative writing for school, prepare for coursework, or simply develop their skills and enjoyment of writing.
