About Robert
About me
I've practised criminal law for over 30 years as a clerk, a police station representative, duty solicitor and Higher Court Advocate. I've represented clients at the police station, in the magistrates' court and in the Crown Court including the Old Bailey. I have been a director of a high street criminal practice. I teach criminal law the way it actually works, so students understand the rules and can apply them with confidence in exams and in practice. I am still in practice on a daily basis and have numerous websites that I run that help students as well

I've helped candidates pass the criminal elements of the SQE.

Anyone who wants to improve their advocacy or know about English Criminal law, Practice and Procedure.
How I teach
Lessons are interactive. We work through real and hypothetical cases, exam-style problem questions for police stations, SQE and, for advocacy, role-play of submissions, bail applications and cross-examination. Each lesson is shaped around your syllabus, your exam date and where you're losing marks. I also help with dissertation focus and ideas.
Lessons
Lessons last 60 minutes, online or in person in Kent. The first lesson is free, so we can work out what you need and whether I'm the right fit.
