About Noon

Hi, I'm Noon! I currently teach 3rd to 5th grade at a private school in Austin, where I teach English language arts, math, science, and social studies. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Arabic, and I'm completing my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working with children every day has taught me that students learn best when they feel safe, understood, and encouraged. I'm patient, organized, and warm, and I tailor each lesson to how your child learns. My goal is to help your child grow into a confident reader and writer.

English

My lessons focus on English language arts for elementary students: reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and writing. I start by finding out what your child finds hard, then build each lesson around those gaps. A typical session starts with a short warm-up read, moves into targeted skill practice, then a writing activity, and ends with a quick review so your child leaves knowing what they learned. As a classroom teacher of grades 3 to 5, I know what students are expected to master and where they commonly get stuck. I keep lessons positive and encouraging so children build confidence, not just skills. These lessons are a good fit for students in grades 3 to 5 who want extra support, enrichment, or help getting ready for the next grade.
