About Priya
I mentored a student in English Language and English Literature when I was in Year 11. This was followed by my mentoring 4 Year 11 students in biology, chemistry and Spanish when I was in Year 12. Finally, when I was in Year 13, I mentored one Year 12 student in chemistry. Each of these tutoring sessions lasted one hour and was a 1:1 session, with the exception of Spanish, where I mentored 2 students at once. Ultimately, my chemistry mentee went on to achieve a grade 9 in her GCSE, whilst my Spanish mentees achieved a grade 9 and a grade 8.
Overall, my prior tutoring experience, friendly and helpful demeanour and insight into exam technique make me a good tutor. Furthermore, my being happy to be contacted outside tuition hours also makes me a helpful and flexible tutor.

In terms of NSAA tuition, I will first cover the content of the specification to sufficient depth in biology and chemistry, and perhaps maths if the candidate feels that they need this. I will then work through some short (all three subjects) and long answer questions (biology only), and will provide information on how to find resources and how to make best use of them. In terms of interview preparation, I will be asking a few questions I have come up with, which will use similar solution strategies to those used in my interview. However, the real interview questions I was asked last year will not be divulged as I cannot do so. Interview questions will focus primarily on biology and chemistry, but will also include maths questions to mimic a real interview. I will be happy to be contacted outside of tutoring sessions. Sessions will be around one hour long but may be longer or shorter if the student prefers this. Exam technique will also be covered in both cases.
My biology and chemistry lessons will focus on teaching students any topics they find difficult in the GCSE or A Level syllabus. I will also place emphasis on exam technique to maximise their test scores.
Lessons will usually be an hour long unless the student requests longer lessons.
