About Simon
Greetings! I am Dr. Simon Poole, a dedicated chemist with a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology. As a full-time researcher, I explore cutting-edge advancements in drug-DNA interactions, with publications in leading journals such as Nucleic Acids Research and Methods. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from DCU, where I graduated in 2019. I achieved my PhD in early 2025 and I am an active member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing music, which keeps me inspired and energized to share my passion for science with students.

I offer flexible online tutoring, using digital tools like virtual whiteboards and chemical simulations to create interactive lessons. My goal is to help students not only achieve top grades but also develop a genuine curiosity for chemistry.
