About Prem

Hi, i'm Prem. I am a current Engineering student at the University of Cambridge, specialising in 1-to-1 tuition for GCSE Physics and A-Level Mathematics.
My goal as a tutor is simple: to make complex scientific and mathematical concepts intuitive, clear, and manageable, while giving students the exact tools they need to excel in their exams.
I believe that true success in Maths and Physics comes from understanding, not memorisation.
My lessons are tailored to each student's unique learning style. Every student receives a structured, individualised learning plan with clear goals for every session. I pride myself on maintaining an encouraging, patient, and professional environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and pushing their limits.

About the lesson

My 1-hour sessions are designed specifically for GCSE Physics and A-Level Maths students. Whether your child is working to bridge foundational gaps or striving to lock in top A / Grade 9 results for competitive university entry, lessons are fully customised to their exam board and learning pace.
As a University of Cambridge Engineering student (ranking in the top 4% of my year) with 4 A*s at A-Level and 10 Grade 9s at GCSE, I have spent years learning these exact subjects. Having tutored with private agencies for over two years, I combine deep subject knowledge with a relatable, modern understanding of current exam board mark schemes.
My teaching relies on active problem-solving: I guide students to derive concepts from first principles so they understand where the theory comes from, helping to fully grasp the topics. From there, we immediately apply concepts to real past-paper questions, training them to decode mark schemes and eliminate silly mistakes.

I highly recommend Prem as a maths tutor. He has a genuine gift for breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps, and he tailors his teaching to how each student learns best. Prem is patient, encouraging, and thorough, he takes the time to make sure students don’t just memorise methods but actually understand the reasoning behind them, which builds real confidence going into exams.
