About Taima
I have been playing viola for 9 years and have had the privilege of being a peer mentor, sectional leader, conductor, and private lesson teacher. I have over 5 years of casual teaching experience, as well as a little professional. In my first semester of college I was teaching in elementary schools in an after-school piano program teaching the basics of theory and technique. I believe that, especially for string players, technique is the most important part of learning your instrument. I tend to have a very shoulder and wrist posture focused approach to learning basics, then progressing into musicality and fluidity.

For any instrumental lessons we would begin with a basic assessment of your skills and go from there, it's ok to start from the bare basics! I will focus on teaching in a way to prevent injuries later in your life, for strings I have a very wrist and shoulder focused teaching style! I am able to teach:
