About Emily
My name is Emily and I am passionate about helping the future generations to learn. I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. Last year, I took the first big step in fulfilling my dream by moving away and starting university. I am hoping tutoring will help to develop my confidence and skills ready for when I step into my own classroom. I want to encourage children to learn and see that it can be fun when done in a way that interests them. Learning isn't about getting the correct answer in the quickest way possible but rather finding all the possible ways, figuring out mistakes and correcting them and looking for the small wins.

Sessions will take place online and can range from reading, writing, games or just practising speaking. Sessions will vary in length depending on age but roughly be 30 minutes - 1 hour. I will use the tools I have learnt so far in university to help plan and deliver a session which will engage your child and help them to understand and learn. I want my sessions to be fun additions to learning rather than a formal sit-down lesson - hence the use of games to help understanding. The sessions are designed for children ages 5-11 and will be tailored to each child's needs. I am a current trainee primary teacher and I am starting my second year at university.
