About Sumehra

I've recently worked for a month at Grameen Shikkha, a sister concern of Grameen BD. I've served as an intern there, with the primary purpose of providing education, with a special emphasis on English Grammar and Math, to the 5th-grade non-formal primary schoolchildren, who are mostly underprivileged, thus enhancing their learning experience. I have also organized and facilitated basic computer training sessions for underprivileged youth to improve their digital skills and employability. Other than that, I'm constantly guiding my younger sister with her schoolwork and making her understand what was taught in class.

About the lesson

My teaching techniques involve active recalling, and a short 5-min revision session and/or quiz to recall what was learnt in the previous lecture; periodical Q/A sessions when new materials and concepts are taught, so that students grasp, understand and learn thoroughly, and feedback taken from students continuously. At times, interactive materials and sessions will be held (like groupwork) to engage the students and make learning fun. My lessons will be tailored especially for middle-school & high-school students.
