About Alexandra
I am a 22 year old university student studying Veterinary Science at JCU in Townsville. I went to an all girls school in Perth and studied ATAR. I studied religion, English, economics, maths applications and human biology. I received a 96 ATAR score and then studied Animal Science at Murdoch University for two years before moving to Queensland to start my Veterinary Science degree which is five years.
I love being outside, going to the beach or being with friends but I also am someone who is very organised and believe my organisation and revision of efficient study skills has gotten me to where I am today.
I believe I can help you find the study skills you need to achieve better grades, without as much of a struggle.
In year 12 I had an English tutor. My English skills weren't bad but I needed that extra push to polish up a few skills which ended up improving my marks tremendously! If you're ever unsure whether you need a tutor or not, just give it a go, because you might end up really benefitting from it like me.

I like to start out my tutor sessions with a conversation about the students intentions, what they're interested in, how they enjoy learning so I can decipher what strategies I can use to interest them in the subject. Following that I can create lesson ideas suited to them. This could be through videos, through kahoots, crosswords, PowerPoints, games etc. If I see the student is progressing in this way then I will continue, but if they're not, I will change my style of teaching to suit them.
My lessons will be an hour long and can be for students in secondary school from years 7-12.
I charge $40/hour.
I have had experience tutoring students from grades 7-10 as well as first year university students studying veterinary science.
