About Vanessa
I am a Mexican American woman, raised by my mom who never learned English. Spanish is my native language, but English was the language I used everyday at school.
I graduated from college to learn more about the Latino culture. Then I finished a community College course on Legal and community interpreting.

I have two young boys of my own, and they always tell me that their Spanish teachers don't speak as clearly as I do! So I teach them at home how to read, write, and speak!!!
My plan on helping students is to practice reading out loud, having a small conversation, and then writing the corrections down. Repeat.
Also, I would look at their homework to give them tips on how to improve comprehension.
