Perfect! I’m 30 years old and having to complete Functional Skills for my job. With my workload, I was really struggling to find the time to properly learn, but I was also incredibly nervous about having a tutor because of my age and feeling embarrassed that I didn’t understand certain things.

Then we found Alarna, and she is truly wonderful!

She explains things so clearly and never makes me feel stupid. She lets me take my time, is incredibly patient, and is always happy to go over something again, no matter how many times it takes for it to click.

She’s also more than happy to look through mock exams with me and tailor the lessons around what I need, rather than rushing through things. I feel much more comfortable and confident with maths now, and I genuinely look forward to our lessons.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Alarna enough. If, like me, you’re an adult who feels nervous or embarrassed about needing help with maths, I would definitely recommend giving her a chance. She has made the whole experience so much easier and far less intimidating!
