About Satbeer Singh
About Me
My name is Satbeer Singh Virdi, and I am a certified IELTS Educator and English Language Teacher with over five years of experience helping students across India build confidence in English and achieve the scores they need to reach their goals.
I hold a CELTA certification from Cambridge Assessment English — one of the most respected teaching qualifications in the world — alongside a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Punjabi University. This background gives me a strong foundation in both the language itself and the most effective ways to teach it. I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, from school students in Class 9 preparing for board exams to working professionals seeking better communication skills and IELTS candidates targeting top band scores for immigration and higher education abroad.

My Teaching Approach
I believe that learning English and preparing for IELTS should be a clear, structured and encouraging experience. Every student who comes to me has a different starting point and a different goal — and I make it my priority to understand both before we begin. Whether you are a school student building your English foundation or a working professional preparing for immigration, I will design a learning path that fits you specifically.
Teaching Techniques & Methods
My approach combines communicative language teaching with focused exam strategy. Rather than simply drilling grammar rules or vocabulary lists, I help students understand the reasoning behind the language — so they can apply it confidently in any situation. For IELTS students, I break down each task type thoroughly, using real exam papers, model answers and examiner band descriptors so students always know exactly what is expected of them.
Typical Class Structure
A standard session of 60 to 90 minutes is divided into three parts. We begin with a short review of the previous lesson and any questions the student may have. The main portion of the class focuses on targeted skill-building — Writing, Speaking, Listening or Reading depending on the student's priority. We close every session with feedback, error correction and a clear action plan for independent practice before the next class.
What Makes Me Different
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every lesson I deliver is prepared specifically for that student. I give honest, constructive feedback without making students feel discouraged, and I track progress carefully from session to session so both the student and I can see real improvement over time. I am also available between classes for quick questions and guidance, because I understand that learning does not stop when the session ends.
