My name is Jaylin, and I focus on making math, algebra, and science feel simple and understandable for every student. My teaching method is built on breaking down difficult ideas into clear, easy steps so students don’t just memorize — they truly understand. I always start by figuring out how each student learns best, whether that’s through examples, visuals, or guided problem-solving.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
I use real-life examples to make abstract concepts easier
I explain problems step-by-step and check for understanding at every stage
I encourage students to talk through their thinking so we can fix confusion early
I teach study habits and problem-solving skills, not just answers
I stay patient and positive, even when topics are challenging
A Typical Lesson Plan
Quick check-in: What are we working on this week? What feels confusing?
Warm-up problem: Something simple to build confidence
Main skill lesson: Clear explanation + guided examples
Practice time: Students solve problems with my help only when needed
Review: What did we learn? What still feels hard?
Mini-goal for next session: A small, achievable step so progress stays steady
