About Austin
A passionate musician for over 20+ years that started with trombone in middle school orchestra and has no end in sight when it comes to learning more about the craft of music and the richness of the language.
I pride myself as a music teacher because I enjoy sharing the wonders of what music is and can be to someone else. It's why I also love to perform! Music is often best when shared.
Music has given me the opportunities to explore the world with greater detail than books and stories from others can tell. From the local regions of the south and to other countries, music has been my key to strengthening my abilities in music, thus structuring me to be a better teacher.

Learning a new language can be difficult without guidance. Immersion often yields the results we want, but lacking the full understanding of "why". Books are helpful tools, but don't offer feedback.
What I offer is the best of both worlds! With immediate feedback, privatized curriculum (no matter your skill level), and the encouragement to keep you moving forward!
From basics like note identification and intervals to the dense comprehension of phrasing and voice leading, I'll be your guide to exploring the universe of music!

Perfect! I had my first lesson, and I could be more pleased with experience. From the moment he walked in the door his professionalism was evident. What stood out the most was his patience. As a beginner, I had a lot of questions and a few mistakes, but he took the time to explain things clearly and encouraged me every step of the way. His teaching style is very effective, as he tailored the lesson to my skill level and learning pace. Not only is he knowledgeable about instrument, but he passion for music that is contagious. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn the bass guitar, whether you're a complete novice or looking to polish your skills. Overall, a fantastic first lesson!
