I’m Michael Musgrove—an educator and editor with a background in both academia and professional publishing. I hold a B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from the University of Alabama, and I’ve taught at the university level. Over the years, I’ve supported hundreds of students—especially graduate and professional students—by helping them communicate clearly, think critically, and produce writing that stands up to scrutiny.

About the lesson

Then we work in a repeatable cycle: diagnose the draft, fix the structure (argument, logic, flow), polish the writing (clarity, tone, grammar), and tighten citations and consistency. A typical session includes a quick triage, targeted revision work together, and a short action plan for what to do next. What sets me apart is “high-stakes” experience: I’ve edited dissertations for PhD students and faculty, and I’ve worked under real-world deadlines where precision mattered.
