About Cheryl
I am a registered primary school teacher and a mum of 2 young children. I have a love of numbers and have been privately tutoring maths since I began university in 2002. I love working 1:1 with students, and witnessing the ‘light bulb’ moments. I have worked with students requiring support, and also those doing well but seeking reinforcement and extension.

My teaching methodology is based upon using children’s natural curiosity about the world around them to make learning enjoyable. I use formative assessment to find learning gaps as a starting point, unless there is particular work sent from school to be completed. I am happy to work collaboratively with class teachers (generally via email) to ensure any specific areas of concern are being addressed.
