About Jihaan
Hello! My name is Jihaan, and I am a 17-year-old dual-enrolled Early College student currently taking both high school and college-level courses. I have always enjoyed learning and helping others succeed academically, especially in math.
One of the things that students often appreciate about me is that I am easygoing, easy to talk to, and never judgmental. I understand that everyone learns at a different pace, and I believe students should feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about being embarrassed or making mistakes. In my opinion, mistakes are simply part of the learning process.
As a current student myself, I understand the challenges that younger learners face because I have experienced many of them firsthand. This allows me to explain concepts in ways that are clear, relatable, and easy to understand. I strive to create a supportive and positive environment where students feel encouraged to participate and build confidence in their abilities.
Beyond academics, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills through my involvement in school and community activities. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them become more confident learners who believe in themselves.

Hi! My name is Jihaan, and I am a dual-enrolled Early College student who is passionate about helping students succeed in math. I specialize in Algebra and Geometry and work primarily with elementary, middle school, and early high school students.
My teaching philosophy is simple: math should make sense, not feel intimidating. Many students struggle because concepts are taught too quickly or in a way that doesn't match their learning style. I focus on breaking down complex topics into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and adapting my teaching methods to each student's needs. I believe that confidence is one of the most important parts of learning math, so I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from them. I am always open to any questions students may have and encourage them to ask whenever they need clarification.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material to make sure concepts are fully understood. We then work through new topics together using examples, visual explanations, and guided practice. I can help students strengthen their understanding by practicing with a variety of examples and showing them different ways to approach problems. As students become more comfortable, I gradually encourage independent problem-solving while providing support and feedback. When mistakes happen, I use them as learning opportunities to help students understand concepts more deeply and avoid similar errors in the future. I can also assist with homework, class assignments, quiz preparation, test review, and strengthening foundational math skills.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am a current student who understands the challenges that younger learners face. I know what it feels like to be confused by a lesson, and I enjoy finding new ways to explain concepts until they finally click. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them develop long-term confidence and problem-solving skills that will benefit them in future math courses.
My lessons are designed for elementary students who are building foundational skills, middle school students preparing for more advanced mathematics, and early high school students taking Algebra or Geometry courses. Whether a student needs extra support, wants to get ahead, or simply wants a better understanding of math, I am committed to helping them reach their goals.
