About Rue
I am a drum tutor with over 8 years of experience working with school, college, and professional learners. My teaching style is simple, motivating, and focused on helping students develop real progress. I create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to improve. Students learn timing, rhythm accuracy, stick control, coordination, independence, and performance skills.
I also teach song analysis, creative drumming, and improvisation techniques. I offer related subjects such as music basics, rhythm theory, ear training, and performance preparation to help students gain a complete musical foundation. A unique skill I bring is customizing lessons based on each student’s needs. I identify strengths and challenges quickly and adjust the learning plan accordingly. My goal is to help every student grow into a confident and capable drummer.

My drum teaching approach blends Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. Communication is essential because it helps me understand each student’s goals. I ask what they want to achieve and create a step-by-step plan that matches their learning style. I also explain techniques clearly during lessons so students feel confident and focused.
Creativity helps students enjoy drumming more. I include creative tasks like improvising fills, writing small rhythm patterns, and exploring groove variations. Students also play along with music tracks to build timing and understand the role of drums in different genres. Creative exercises improve their musical expression and confidence.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to students of all levels. I adjust exercises depending on their progress and comfort. Whether a student learns quickly or needs more time, I match the lesson speed to their learning needs. I also use different teaching methods depending on whether they learn visually, by listening, or by practical demonstration.
I also teach rhythm concepts and basic music understanding. My goal is to build confident drummers through flexible and inspiring lessons.
