Inside the classroom, my teaching philosophy is based on two methods. The first principle targets the whole class in general where I start the lecture raising a general question known to everyone. While doing that, I explain the fundamental principles behind study motives. The second principle targets each student individually. Here, I let the student ask questions and when he does, I explain everything to him even which is not directly related to the question but is within the scope. I believe, in that particular moment, his brain is more prepared to better understand difficult concepts. This strategy so far has worked very well for specific students which I aim to target based on their weak performance in the earlier exams. In both circumstances, I allow the students to think methodically and interact with me as much as they can. This is why I believe in the open-door policy. Moreover, to keep a consistent pace and give students the time to process the concepts, I prefer to utilize the blackboard/whiteboard relative to slides. While I use the subject of concern to motivate a lecture, I am also aware of the significance of articulating the key values that can assist learners both evaluate the specific application that I am addressing and apply the idea to other circumstances that may be important to them.

Outside the classroom, I provide sufficient literature resources to the students to succeed in the classroom. Although, as a student, I learned best by writing notes. However, I am also aware of the fact that it also reduces the interaction and thus interpretation ability to understand the concept. To address it, I accompany my lectures with detailed handouts that both recount the important themes and expand upon them to incorporate related topics that I may not include in the lecture. Furthermore, I believe an important component of being a good teacher is simply being available and approachable. In addition to office hours, I find modern ways to stay connected with the students. Firstly, I use a professional chatting tool “slack” for each class where students can ask questions or initiate scientific discussion, which I read through the mobile application or webpage regularly. I try my best to make my students feel comfortable contacting me at their convenience either in person, via slack, or by email. This aspect of my teaching strategy is well-appreciated by students always.
