About Hannah
Hi! I’m Mrs. Wray, an experienced early childhood educator who is passionate about helping children become confident and successful learners. I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each child’s individual needs.
I have experience teaching young children foundational skills in reading, phonics, writing, and early math. My lessons incorporate hands-on activities, games, movement, visual supports, and multisensory techniques to help children understand and remember new concepts.
I am patient, caring, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and trying new things. My goal is not only to help students master academic skills but also to build their confidence and love of learning.
Whether your child needs extra practice, support with foundational skills, or preparation for the next grade level, I will meet them where they are and help them grow one step at a time. I look forward to helping your child feel confident and excited about learning!

My Approach as a Teacher
I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and actively involved in the learning process. My teaching approach is hands-on, engaging, and tailored to each child’s individual learning style and needs. I use a variety of techniques, including games, movement, visual aids, manipulatives, repetition, and real-life examples to make learning meaningful and fun.
A Typical Lesson
Each lesson begins with a quick review of previously learned skills and an introduction to the day's learning goal. I then provide direct instruction and model the skill before giving the student opportunities to practice with me. We incorporate interactive activities and games to reinforce the skill, followed by independent practice. I end each lesson by reviewing what we learned and celebrating the student's progress.
What Sets Me Apart
As an experienced early childhood educator, I understand that every child learns differently. I am patient, encouraging, and skilled at breaking challenging concepts into smaller, manageable steps. I focus not only on helping students learn a skill but also on building their confidence and creating a positive attitude toward learning.
Who My Lessons Are For
I primarily work with preschool and early elementary students who are developing foundational academic skills. I can provide support with letter and number recognition, phonics and early reading skills, handwriting, beginning math concepts, and school readiness. My lessons are especially suited for young learners who benefit from hands-on, multisensory, and engaging instruction.
