About Jessica
I am an aspiring economist studying economics and finance at university. I was driven to economics by my love of mathematics and the wide world of business. My love of mathematics stems from my need to learn and fascination with numbers. Through problem-solving and always asking why; I have never left a stone unturned in consolidating my knowledge. This same passion is something that I incorporate into my teaching so that others understand the wider world of maths and all of its forms, helping them to get a better comprehension of the subject.
I have a lot of experience working with students aged 7 to 14 as a Girlguiding volunteer for 5 years. I had the opportunity to educate them in a variety of subjects and topics whilst learning methods to help them engage more with activities. Additionally, I was invited to run a mathematics workshop with the Royal Institute for a few primary schools back in December of 2021.

I have previous experience in tutoring and obtained 9s, A and A*in my GCSEs and A-Levels for these subjects. I learnt that I am a visual learner over many years of tried and tested revision techniques. From learning this, I have found many great ways to study and learn that are engaging, including specific methods for different types of learners to help students build confidence in the subject and grow their comprehension of the material. My lessons are between 1-2 hours depending on your preference. The sessions can vary from revision, lessons on specific material, exam preparation or a mix of all three depending on your preferences.
