About Joseph
My professional development includes training and coursework in sustainable ecosystems and biology. I am eager to apply what I have learned in the classroom, lab, and field settings to tutoring and sharing knowledge with students.
My education in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability at Colorado State University along with my practical job experiences have provided me with a solid scientific background and the ability to think analytically, problem solve, and understand ecological and biological systems. For example, in my position as intern research scientist with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, I performed mechanical current meter measurements, acid molybdate methods to measure phosphorus concentration in the lab, and statistical treatments of the data collected using excel and JMP. I wrote a technical report summarizing my findings using Microsoft word and presented my research in front of a large public audience at University Corporation for Atmospheric Research.
