About Francesca
I went to a school where German was not offered, so I learnt it in my free time with a private tutor, which was the best decision I made! My love for the German language is so great, and I honestly think German is one of the most logically structured, clear languages, and a joy to learn - I would love to help others see this too!

Hi, I'm Francesca! I'm studying German at the University of Edinburgh and moving to Freiburg in September for my year abroad. With a grade 9 at GCSE and A* at A-level, my school German days aren't far behind me, and I remember exactly how it felt to learn it. I can help with all areas of German, from vocabulary and grammar to speaking, listening and writing, and I tailor every lesson to what you personally need most. I'm particularly passionate about grammar, as I believe getting those foundations right is what makes everything else fall into place. I can also lead parts of the lesson in slow, clear German for a bit of immersion alongside the more structured work.
