About Sean
Hi! I'm Sean, an Electrical Engineering student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a passion for mathematics, problem-solving, and education. I earned a 5 on both AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC and continue to use advanced mathematics throughout my engineering coursework.
In addition to my academic background, I have experience as both a coding tutor and STEM instructor, helping students build confidence in technical subjects and develop strong problem-solving skills. I enjoy working with students of all skill levels and strive to create a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and understanding comes first.
Whether you're looking for help with Algebra, Precalculus, or AP Calculus, I'd be excited to help you reach your goals.

Many students come to believe that math is just a collection of formulas to memorize and procedures to follow. I don't think that's their fault—it's often how the subject is taught. When we focus only on getting the right answer, it's easy to lose sight of what makes mathematics so powerful and fascinating.
As an Electrical Engineering student, I use mathematics regularly to understand and solve real-world problems. Through engineering, I've come to appreciate that math is the fundamental language that describes the world around us.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and succeed in their courses, but also to help them understand the ideas behind what they're learning. When students understand the "why" behind a concept, they become more confident, more independent, and often find that math is far more interesting than they once thought.
Whether you're struggling with a topic or looking to deepen your understanding, I want to help you build both skill and appreciation for one of the most powerful subjects we study!
