About Marita
I have been working with children for over 15 years. I have my degree in elementary education as well as certifications in reading such as the reading specialist praxis and literacy certifications in several states (former military spouse.) I moved from public to private education 6 years ago and work closely with students, parents and teachers as a teacher mentor. I have a child that just graduated 5th grade and will be starting middle school this year. She has a love for reading and is testing on a 7th grade reading level.

We start where your child is and grow from there. The goal will be to get your child at the reading level for their age while reinforcing phonics and fluency skills. Reading will become fun when we read nonfiction and topics that your child is interested in!
