About Shivani
In 2017, I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development and a minor in History. I received my teaching license in 2018 from California State University, Fullerton. In 2020, I received my Master's in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education. I am currently enrolled in a doctorate program at the American College of Education to receive an Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently have a teaching license from Nevada that allows me to teach grades K- 6. I have taught for five years and have taught 1st and 2nd grade. I have taught in California and in Nevada.

When creating lessons, for my first and second-grade students, I plan my lessons based on the needs of my students. I also ensure that the lessons best support their learning styles and contain rigor. I start off my lessons by reviewing prior concepts. This ensures that students have the knowledge they need to better understand what they learn. When teaching lessons, I make sure that there is plenty of opportunities for students to practice the concepts that are being taught. This helps with seeing what concepts the students understand and what concepts they need more help with.
