About Erika
I graduated with my B.S. in Elementary Education from Western IL University, M.S. in Elementary Education from Western IL University and M.S. in Reading Education from Missouri State University. I hold certifications in Middle School Math, Language Arts and Science. I am acertified Reading (K-12) and Math Specialist (K-8). I have taught in both large and small public school districts. I currently teach 2nd-8th grade Algebra 1.

I love teaching students through the use of manipulative when available and walking students through the "why" of solving math problems. When students understand how one step leads to the next allows them to gain a better understanding of the concepts. This also allows students to how one concept and the next connect to each other.
