About Abigail
"I am a passionate Grade 9 student based in Ajax, Ontario, dedicated to helping younger children discover the joy of reading. Having successfully navigated my own academic journey, I understand the challenges students face when first learning to decode complex texts and build reading stamina.
My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each individual learner's pace. I specialize in breaking down difficult words, improving reading fluency, and fostering deep reading comprehension through engaging storytelling and interactive practice. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to make mistakes and grow, eventually turning reading from a daunting chore into an exciting daily habit. Whether we are working on phonics or exploring the themes of a new story, I am committed to helping my students reach their full potential and excel in their elementary school curriculum."
