About MARIA
My name is Maria Sanz. I help students and artists improve and have fun with their voice. We will not only focus on technique, but at everything it takes to sing better and sustainably. Together we will work on your breathing coordination, your posture, vocal technique and confidence to sing in front of others!
Singing is not just about the voice, is about transforming the connection between your mind, voice and body, and that is what we will do during our classes together. I promise it's a lot of fun!
My background combines classical and contemporary music. I completed 3 years in the conservatory in Madrid, Spain, and I will shortly be completing a Master's in Vocal Studies at ICMP, London. I play the piano, I am a songwriter and performer myself. I released my EP 'In Silence' in 2024. I am passionate about giving people confidence in creative activities, paths and industries.
I am friendly, enthusiastic and I possess a lot of experience in the music field to help you grow!

- Member at the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) in the UK
- 3 years at Music Conservatory (Classical & Contemporary Studies)
- In the process of getting certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support overcoming fear of singing in public through evidence-based techniques
- Released debut EP In Silence (2024) on Spotify and all music platforms
- Ongoing collaborations with UK and international artists on original music & vocal arrangements
- MA Vocal Studies (in progress), Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP)
- Volunteer (2+ years) at The RecordShop (Wood Green), an NGO and multi music space for young people to explore their love for music for free

What techniques do I use?
I utilise multiple techniques to accomplish TRANSFORMATIONAL VOCAL COACHING: ESTILL Method, varied set of warm ups, MDH Breathing Coordination, Alexander Technique, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and many more !
Where do I teach?
- Most students come in person to my home studio based in Maida Vale (London), as it's a cosy creative space in the heart of London with professional equipment like high quality microphones, speakers, and a recording set.
- I also teach ONLINE.
How can I summarise my classes?
My classes are FUN! I focus on helping you understand your own voice, improve your breathing, giving you the right exercises to improve your range and technique, and overcome any fear or self-doubt when it comes to singing. I care about ALL of my students and I want to see you reach your full potential.

Perfect! I am really enjoying classes with Maria! She is an excellent teacher, extremely dynamic and energetic. She is helping me with a range variety of exercises and warmups that I hadn't done before, with breathing coordination (as I usually felt fatigued and out of breath) and to connect better with some of my favourite old rock songs. Thanks Maria !

Maria is a great vocal coach, we’ve been working together for over 5 months. We do sessions online and in person. She’s been able to give me confidence, she helped me work on my chest voice, she regularly gives me good exercises to be able to improve on my own as well! I recommend !!
